This service is designed to celebrate the gift
and the blessings of children in our lives and
also to offer oneself in dedication to the gift
and responsibility of parenting or being grandparents.
The birth or adoption of a child presents
opportunities for celebration and thanksgiving
for this new life.
In blessing children, we welcome them into the
immediate family, the extended family, and also
into the family of humanity. We acknowledge
that they are children of God and deserving of
the richest of blessings from God and from the
