In asking for a blessing of our animal friends we acknowledge the blessings they bring into our lives.  This service is a time of thanksgiving for the unconditional love between animals and humans.  Blessing of animals may happen for new pets in the family.  A blessing and dedication service may be desired for service animals that work to assist others.  Or, when it is time to let a pet go, that sad and loving decision may be acknowledged with a final blessing and prayers for the pet and the guardian or family.
